- October 17, 1944 – The Daily Progress reports that a pump station will be upgraded to pull more water from the Moormans's River to prevent water shortages. [1]
- July 25, 1974 – Albemarle BOS Discussion of water supply management that had been prepared by the Thomas Jefferson Planning District Commission (begins on page 30) [2]
- December 17, 1974 – Joint meeting of City Council and Board of Supervisors on study of South Fork Rivanna Reservoir [3]
- January 22, 1975 – Issues of runoff into South Fork Rivanna Reservoir come up repeatedly during discussion of Four Seasons West rezoning [4]
Why is this here and not on the main page? Good question. At one point, water supply stuff was a major issue at Charlottesville Tomorrow, and cvillepedia was used to store a lot of it. What needs to happen is an eventual creation of a main article on water supply to be more broad, but the history is important as it helps explain why the growth area boundaries are in place. Adding information about Greene County's planned reservoir and the James River Water Authority's work would also be useful to document. --Seantubbs (talk) 08:09, 17 October 2022 (EDT)
