Style

The style of this page needs to be modified more than slightly. It's far too long and contains more detail than necessary. I appreciate the breadth of scope of what's here, and I will work to get in our style. Actually, I read through this and I really enjoy it and think it's written in a way that's not quite "wikipedia" but certainly is written in a style that is engaging and befitting the 250th anniversary. This seems like a story more so than many of our other articles. I added some formatting to break it up a little bit. What do others think? --Seantubbs 10:23, 10 January 2012 (EST)
