Background

In 1914, the Charlottesville Country Club constructed a building called the Trail's End Lodge on the property. [2] Eugene Bradbury served as the architect. The club disbanded in 1918, and in the following year the White Pines Health Resort was opened by Bobby Mainfort. In the 1940's, the property was purchased by the Chi Psi fraternity and became known as the "Lodge."

Deborah and Steve Davis haved asked the city for rezoning to planned unit development in order to build 16 housing units and preserve the Bradbury structure and convert it to a bed and breakfast. [1] The couple will purchase the property contingent on the rezoning being granted. They plan to open the property to wedding receptions and other special events.
