Champion Brewing Company is a brewery that opened in Charlottesville in the fall of 2012. [1] close to Thanksgiving.[2] In 2013, plans were announced to increase production to 10,000 barrels a year. [3] The company began sellings cans of its Killer Kolsch and Missile IPA in the spring of 2014.

Founded by Suffolk-native Hunter Smith, the brewery is located on Sixth Street Southwest, toward the southern end of the Belmont Bridge.[2]
