The Albemarle-Charlottesville Jail Authority Board is an 11-member body that sets policies for the Albemarle-Charlottesville Regional Jail. [1]

Membership consists of 11 members, made up of three sheriffs, one member of City Council, one member of the Albemarle Board of Supervisors, City Manager Maurice Jones, County Executive Tom Foley two private citizens of both the city and county, one joint member and the Nelson County Administrator. Meetings are on the second Thursday of each month at the jail.

City Councilor Kristin Szakos is the chair for 2013.
