Waldo Jaquith

Waldo Jaquith is a prominent blogger and activist who currently lives in Albemarle County. He is a former City Council candidate who unsuccessfully sought the Democratic nomination in 2003. Jaquith is also the owner and operator of cvillenews, an online news community.

Biography

He is a graduate of the Sorensen Institute for Political Leadership at the University of Virginia.

Ten ideas for Charlottesville

Jaquith began appearing before Council in May 2003 in order to give ten ideas that he thought would benefit Charlottesville[1]

  1. Make grants of $100 to young people under the age of 21 who promote social change
  2. Provide sizeable grants to sustaining a social activist
