Virginia Landmarks Register

The Virginia Landmarks Register was established in 1966 and is managed by the Virginia Department of Historic Resources. The register is "the state’s official list of properties important to Virginia’s history." More than 2,000 of these sites in Virginia are also on the National Register of Historic Places.[1]
