Status Update

A bicycle and pedestrian bridge is one of several transformative projects called for in the Rio Road Small Area Plan. [1]

This project supports the plan's vision of Connectivity, Conservation, and Character.

Description from plan

"An outdoor public space should be provided in the northeast quadrant of Rio29 that provides easy access to the transit stop. The space should be designed as a square or plaza that provides space for passive recreation and can act as community gathering space. Plaza amenities could include seating areas, art installments, a small amphitheater, and/or a central water feature. The park development should be consistent with adjacent redevelopment."
