The Hook is a weekly newspaper distributed on Thursdays that covers Charlottesville and Albemarle County. The editor and publisher is Hawes Spencer.
The Hook was founded in 2002 and is owned by Better Publications LLC[1].
In 2009, the Hook sponsored the first ever Charlottesville Restaurant Week.
