The Haven at First & Market is Central Virginia's resource center for the homeless and working poor. It also hosts music events and was a venue for performances sponsored by the Tom Tom Founders Festival.[1]. The Haven is operated by the Thomas Jefferson Area Coalition for the Homeless.

Funding

The Haven requested $45,000 from Charlottesville as part of the city's 2012 budget[2].

In 2014, The Haven became an independent nonprofit. [3]
