Teachstone helps teachers make use of available research-based tools, knowledge, and skills to enhance classroom instruction. Teachstone was founded in 2008 by University of Virginia Professors Robert Pianta of the Center for Advanced Study of Teaching and Learning (CASTL), and Bridget Hamre of the Curry School of Education. The company was supported by the Foundation for Child Development during the development and implementation of their business plan. [1].
