Removed the section to below as the "Assuming" is not clear on what's assumed, and assumptions don't really belong anyway; clear this stuff up on the talk before adding to the article.
- Birdwood Estates was approved in September 1966 by the Albemarle County Planning Commission as a 94-lot, 550 acre residential development. (Assuming this development was not pursused and it later became the golf course[citation needed]) [1]
