The city's old elections results are broken, and I've reached out to one of the electoral board members to figure out how to restore them. Department of Elections' page appears to only be from 2000 on. --Seantubbs (talk) 09:43, 17 June 2021 (EDT)

The above did not yield anything so I wrote to the interim registrar today asking if the records exist offline. The below is the text of my correspondence:

"Since the late 2000's, I have used cvillepedia to document lots of things. A major interest for me is documenting municipal elections. Links from the old city website are broken, and my attempts to run through them archive.org have not worked.

For instance, this is a link to the 1966 election page, which has been flagged as having dead links.

For years, this information was on the city's website, but now the city's website elections results page refers people to the Virginia Department of Elections page.

However, the database appears to only have information for Council from 2000 to 2020. This link should provide results from 1950 to 2020, and as you can see, they do not appear to have data for before 2000.

My question: Does this information exist in offline form in your office? If so, I'd like to come take a look. But not until after the election! I know you are swamped at this time, but I thought I would ask while it's on my mind." --Seantubbs (talk) 13:22, 28 September 2021 (EDT)
