Steve Deaton is an attorney who ran for the Democratic nomination to be Charlottesville's Commonwealth's Attorney in 2013. He was defeated by Dave Chapman. [1] Chapman also defeated Deaton in a Democratic caucus in 1993, the last time Chapman had any opposition to the position.[citation needed]
