The Route 250 / 151 Roundabout is a planned transportation improvement planned by the Virginia Department of Transportation for the intersection of Route 151 and U.S. 250 west of Crozet. The project has a cost of $5.8 million.

It is one of six Albemarle County Design-Build Projects combined into one contract. Curtis Consulting of West Point was awarded a $28.5 million contract by the Commonwealth Transportation Board at their meeting on July 19, 2019. [1]

The total project cost is $5.8 million. Engineering is budgeted at $950,000, right of way is budgeted at $850,000 and construction is budgeted at $4 million.

Timeline

  • June 2019: CTB award scheduled as part of larger design-build project
  • Spring 2023: Construction scheduled for completion [2]
