Robert S. Johnson was a Republican member of the Charlottesville City Council who was elected in the June 14, 1966 election. Johnson did not complete his four-year term of office.
At the new city council organizational meeting held on September 1, 1966, on a motion by the outgoing mayor, Lindsey B. Mount and seconded by "Dutch" Vogt, Johnson was appointed Vice-President (vice-mayor) to serve with Burkett A. Reynolds elected president of the council (mayor) at this same meeting. [1] Johnson left office before the next organizational meeting held on September 3, 1968. [2]
