Campaign history
Bell announced on December 6, 2011 that he will seek the Republican nomination for Attorney General in the 2013 election. [3] He had raised over $600,000 in donations through the end of 2011. [4] However, he ended up not being his party's nominee that year.
On December 3, 2015, Bell announced that he will be seeking the Republican nomination for Attorney General in the 2017 election.[5] If he is the Republican nominee, he will be challenging incumbent Attorney General Mark Herring.
