Robert B. "Rob" Bell III (b. April 23, 1967, in Palo Alto, California) has been a member of the Virginia General Assembly since 2002. He represents the 58th district, which includes part of Albemarle County.[1] Prior to serving as a member of the General Assembly, Bell was a state prosecutor and the Chairman of the Albemarle County Republican Committee.

Bell announced on December 6, 2011 that he will seek the Republican nomination for Attorney General in the 2013 election. [3] He had raised over $600,000 in donations through the end of 2011. [4] However, he ended up not being his party's nominee that year.
On December 3, 2015, Bell announced that he would seek the Republican nomination for Attorney General in the 2017 election.[5] However, Bell dropped out of the race in November 2016. [6]
