The Rivanna Trail is a walking and biking trail that creates a circumference around the city limits of Charlottesville. Some parts of the trail are paved, while others are much more rustic. A portion of the trail runs along the western bank of the Rivanna River.

The trails are administered by the Rivanna Trails Foundation.

The record for running the entire length of the trail is held by Neal Gorman with a time of two hours and nine minutes. [1]
