Richard "Dick" Hamilton Barrick was an attorney practicing law in Charlottesville for over 50 years, including 16 years as Commonwealth’s Attorney for the City of Charlottesville.

Barrick graduated from the University of Virginia for both his undergraduate and law degree.[1] Following his graduation Barrick served in the United States Army, and after his discharge returned to Charlottesville where he practiced law. Barrick passed away on December 8, 2013 (aged 83) and was survived by his wife, Mary Elizabeth Pritchett (m. 1958) and their four children: Logan, Mary, Ric and Matt.
