The Ragged Mountain Reservoir is a key component of the community water supply maintained by the Rivanna Water and Sewer Authority.
A plan to build a new dam at the reservoir is currently underway.
However, at one point, Kevin Lynch had suggested building a dam as high as 33 feet larger than the existing one[1].
