2009 Election

Creigh Deeds is seeking the Democratic nomination for Governor of Virginia in 2009. The statewide primary is being held on June 9, 2009. In the primary, Deeds faces former Delegate Brian Moran (Alexandria) and former Democratic National Committee Chairman Terry McAuliffe.

2005 Election

Creigh Deeds was the Democratic nominee for Attorney General in 2005.

"In 2005, Deeds ran against [Republican Bob] McDonnell for attorney general, losing by 360 votes out of 1.9 million cast in the closest statewide election in modern Virginia history."[1]
