Pam Melampy was a long-time deputy clerk for the Albemarle County Circuit Court and an independent candidate for the Charlottesville Clerk of Court in 2011. She died on January 17, 2012 following an aneurysm . [1]
Democratic primary
Melampy first sought the Democratic nomination for clerk[2] but came in third during the August 20 firehouse primary with 12% of the vote. [3]
