Papers filed in Brightman's divorce proceedings alleged that Barfield "committed adultery on February 10 and 11, 2010 in Phoenix with Christopher Brightman" while the two were on a business-related trip<ref name=cvillebrightman/>.

Carolyn Paige Barfield is the clerk of the Charlottesville City Council, unanimously appointed by city council April 5 2010 and effective May 1[1].

Biography

Barfield graduated from Spotsylvania High School in 1999[2], and attended the University of Virginia[1], earning a B.A. in 2003 with a concentration in English and government[2].

Barfield was once married and used the name Paige Sawyer[3].
