Amenities

The park has playground equipment, a basketball court and picnic tables.

Location and Access

Northeast Park is located near the center of the Locust Grove neighborhood. The main entrance is from Calhoun Street. A path (after the footbridge) connects the park to the adjacent 6.5 acre Davis Soccer field/Unity Park.

A trail to St. Charles Avenue winds through the woods on a bed of mulch and was built as a High School Environmental Science Project. [citation needed]

Addition of Davis Field

In 2011, the city spent $750,000 to purchase 11.3 acres of land adjacent to the park to add to its total size. The purchase of "Davis Field" allowed the city to construct a large rectangular field that is dedicated to soccer. [2]
