Location and Access

Northeast Park is located near the center of the Locust Grove neighborhood. It is adjacent to a stream that feeds into Meadow Creek. The park is connected to Marshall Street by a footbridge, St. Charles Avenue by trail and to Calhoun Street and Sheridan Avenue by road.

The trail to St. Charles Avenue winds through the woods on a bed of mulch and was built as a High School Environmental Science Project. [citation needed]

Addition of Davis Field

In 2011, the city spent $750,000 to purchase 11.3 acres of land adjacent to the park to add to its total size. The purchase of "Davis Field" allowed the city to construct a large rectangular field that is dedicated to soccer. [2]
