The Monticello Flying Club is a non-profit flying club based at the Charlottesville-Albemarle Airport (KCHO), with the purpose of creating an opportunity for local pilots to come together and share their enthusiasm and interest in aviation. The club was founded as a 501(c)7 social club in April 2013 by Michael Holroyd, Michael Vanderweide, and James Stadelmaier [1]. As of November 2022 the club has 11 flying members and 4 social members. The club owns a Mooney M20F and is accepting new members. To join the Club, regular members make a joining contribution (refundable in most cases) and pay monthly dues for aircraft fixed costs.
