The McIntire Park Preservation Committee is a group of Charlottesville and Albemarle County citizens who want to prevent further development of McIntire Park which would detract from its current recreational and natural uses. The group was formed to oppose the construction of a YMCA in the western end of the park, but is also in support of efforts to prevent the construction of the Meadowcreek Parkway.

In 2009, the campaign is being spearheaded by Independent City Council candidate Bob Fenwick, a softball player who became active when concerns were raised about the City's plan to eliminate two softball fields at the park in addition to leasing land to the YMCA. The group also goes by the name Save McIntire Park which is the slogan featured on their advocacy yard signs.
