Ken Jefferson was an anchor for NBC29 who passed away in March 2018 after a brief and unexpected illness at the age of 65. [1]

Biography

Jefferson wanted to be a broadcaster from an early age and had his own pirate station. He would go on to work for WHIO in Dayton, Ohio as well as WWSB in Sarasota, Florida. He moved to Charlottesville to work For NBC29 in order to be closer to his family in Petersburg.
