- 1781 – Midnight Ride of Jack Jouett: In the Village of Cuckoo in what is now Louisa County, Jack Jouett learned that the British were moving to Charlottesville to capture Thomas Jefferson and Virginia’s legislature. He rode through the night to warn them. [1] [2]
- 1991 – City Council adopted zoning ordinance change that created the R-1A zoning code [3]
- 2020 – Board of Supervisors grants indefinite deferral for Parkway Place [4]
- 2022 – Candice McGarry becomes the acting county administrator of Nelson County and will become the permanent one on August 1 [5]
