Jonathan Stevens was one of two candidates who ran in 2013 to succeed Lee Richards as Charlottesville's Commissioner of Revenue. [1] He was defeated by Todd Divers.

He is involved with the group Local Alliance for Urban and Rural Advancement. [citation needed]
