Joanie Freeman is the business mentor for Vinegar Hill Women's Canning Cooperative[1] and co-founder of the Healthy Food Coalition. Freeman moved the the Charlottesville area in 2010 after retiring from being a special education teacher in Miami.[1] She is also involved with the local Sierra Club and Transition Charlottesville-Albemarle.[1]
