Hunter E. Craig is a developer and one of Albemarle County's largest landowners, holding 1,305 acres with a 2009 assessed value $126 million[1].

Education

Craig received a B.A. degree in Economics from Hampden-Sydney College in 1984[2].

Business

Craig's real estate activities are carried out primarily as President of Hunter E. Craig Company and principal broker of Georgetown Real Estate[2].

Craig is vice-chairman of the board and a co-founder of Virginia National Bank[2].

Craig leads Forest Lodge LLC, the consortium that purchased Biscuit Run for development but later sold it to the commonwealth in order to form Biscuit Run State Park[3].

UVa Board of Visitors

In July 2010, Craig was named to the University of Virginia Board of Visitors by Governor Bob McDonnell[3]. Craig gave $25,000 to McDonnell’s Opportunity Virginia PAC in 2010[4] and made $33,301 in contributions to McDonnell’s 2009 gubernatorial campaign[5].
