High Street is a road in the city of Charlottesville. It is one of the main north-south corridors of the city. [1] It is one the city's entrance corridors.

Some people in the area would like there to be more sidewalks. [2]

In 2016, the East High Streetscape project was awarded $5,638,000 in state funds to improve High Street between Market Street and Locust Avenue, just north of the Belmont Bridge.
