Harley L. Miles was appointed to the at-large Albemarle County School Board seat vacated by Brian Wheeler[1]. Miles was selected to be interviewed by the board in September 2010[2]. He served as the board's vice chair for 2011. [3]

Miles is a retired educator who worked in Charlottesville schools, but whose children attended those in the county[1].
