H. Ashby Harris represented the Scottsville District on the Albemarle County Board of Supervisors in the 1950's and 1960's. [1]

In January 1952, he and two other supervisors disagreed with county executive Dan A. Robinson regarding how livestock should be assessed for tax purposes. [2]
