Greenstone on 5th is a 198-unit apartment complex for low-income families and individuals in Charlottesville. It is owned by Community Housing Partners. [1] It used to be known as Blue Ridge Commons before a name change in 2013. [citation needed]

In February 2012, Community Housing Partners sought City Council support for a low-income housing tax credit application to help financing for a $7.15 million renovation. At one point, CHP had sought financed by bonds from the Waynesboro Redevelopment and Housing Authority. [3] However, they abandoned that approach when they learned the sale of those bonds would not cover the costs of the project. Instead, CHP will apply for tax credits from the Virginia Housing and Development Authority in March 2012. The renovations will allow the complex to expand by 4 units.[1]
