Truck traffic concerns

Proposed restrictions

In the summer of 2013, Supervisor Ann Mallek sought permission from the Virginia Department of Transportation to prohibit through trucks from using the road. [1] The Board of Supervisors held a public hearing on the topic on March 9, 2016. Shortly before the public comment period began, Supervisor Brad Sheffield introduced the idea of simply lowering speed limits for trucks. Afterwards, they opted to pursue alternatives including a lower speed for trucks. [2] [3]
