Don Franco was appointed to the Albemarle County Planning Commission by Supervisor David Slutzky (D-Rio) on March 4, 2009 to complete the term of Jon Cannon who resigned in order to pursue appointment as Deputy Commissioner of the Environmental Protection Agency in the Obama Administration. Franco is the President of KG Associates, an Albemarle County-based developer that counts Rivanna Village, Cascadia and Glen Oaks among its recent developments.[1]
