* [[1926]] – [[Alfred Washington]] dies from hemorrhage pulmonary tuberculosis and is buried at Hickory Hill Cemetery in [[Albemarle County]]. A resident of Chestnut Grove and a farmhand, he was called up for service in [[World War I veterans|World War I]] and had his portrait photograph included within the [[Holsinger Studio Collection]].
