Community Public Charter School
The Community Public Charter School is is an Albemarle County public middle school that features concentrated teaching styles in order to redirect struggling students towards scholastic success. The school accepts middle school students from all feeder patterns and those students may return to the high school of their district or continue on to Murray High School, the charter high school. The school enrolls 40 students and with limited numbers priority is given to those students with literacy issues. The current principal of the Community Public Charter School is Ashby Kindler.[1]
History
The Community Public Charter School, located inside Burley Middle School was founded in 2008. The school features a personalized, small group setting and utilizes William Glasser's Choice Theory in order to promote self-esteem and self-management. The school allows no student to fail, instead working with each student toward success in learning essential skills.[1]

The Community Public Charter School is located within Burley Middle School at 901 Rose Hill Drive.
