Charles Martin is a former member of the Albemarle County Board of Supervisors.[1]. He represented the Rivanna District for three terms from 1992 to 2004 after first winning election in 1991. He served as the Board's Chair in 1999, the first African-American to hold that position.

Martin announced his bid for a third term at a picnic held at his home in the Terrybrook neighborhood.
