Charles "Chuck" Langham

Charles "Chuck" Langham (1941-2022) is one of many people depicted by Charlottesville folk artist Frances Brand as part of her "First" series.

Langham was selected because of his founding of a group called SCROOGE, which stood for Society to Curtail Ridiculous Outrageous & Ostentatious Gift Exchanges.

Biography

Langham was born on January 15, 1941 in Cumberland, Maryland. He attended Potomac State Junior College and graduated from West Virginia University with honors. He entered military service in the Army Medical Service Corps. [1]

He died on June 19, 2022.
