The [[Albemarle County Service Authority]] plans to replace the aging plant with the [[North Fork Regional Pump Station]].  The Camelot facility is at capacity and is nearing the end of its useful life.  

The [[Rivanna Water and Sewer Authority]] announced September 22, 2009 that the facility will be decommissioned before April 2013, the point when Virginia Department of Environmental Quality effluent standards will increase sharply.<ref>Wheeler, Brian A.
