Buckingham Branch Railroad is a Class III short-line railroad operating over 200 miles track in Central Virginia, including Charlottesville-Albemarle. They lease and operate a line between Richmond and Clifton Forge[1].

Buckingham Branch shares overhead traffic with CSX and Amtrak. The company's headquarters are in Dillwyn.

Crozet parking lot

On May 14 2010 the railroad fenced off part of the parking lot in The Square in downtown Crozet due to liability concerns, after discovering this portion of the lot was on property leased by the railroad[2].
