Buck Mountain Creek is a creek rising near Boonesville in northeastern Albemarle County and flowing south and southeast to its junction with the South Fork Rivanna River[1].

A dam on the creek was once proposed to create the Buck Mountain Reservoir, although the plan has since been abandoned, in part due to the presence in the creek of the endangered James spinymussel.[2].
