Brian Wheeler is the communications director of the city of Charlottesville. [citation needed] He served for over a dozen years as the first executive director of Charlottesville Tomorrow beginning in July 2005. Wheeler has lived in the Charlottesville-Albemarle region since 1984 and represented the community as an elected member of the Albemarle County School Board during January 2004 to August 2010.
In late 2018 and early 2019, he served as interim Clerk of the Council following the resignation of Paige Rice. [1]
