Betty Burrell is a former director of finance for Albemarle County. She served in the position from June 13, 2011 until her retirement at the end of 2017. [1] She is retiring and will leave office effective January 1, 2018. [2] [3]

Education

Burrell received a Bachelor of Business Administration from Averett University in Danville, Virginia, and a Master of Science in Administration with concentration in Public Administration from Central Michigan University in Pleasantville, Michigan. [1]

Employment

From 2007 until working for Albemarle, Burrell was been chief financial officer for Portsmouth, Virginia, and was previously director of finance for Fort Lauderdale, Florida, deputy director of finance for Richmond, and county treasurer in New Kent, Virginia.
