Betty Burrell is the incoming director of finance for Albemarle County and will start work on June 13, 2011. [1]
Since 2007, she has been chief financial officer for Portsmouth, Virginia. She has also been employed as director of finance for Fort Lauderdale, Florida. She has also served as deputy director of finance for Richmond and as county treasurer in New Kent, Virginia.
Burrell received a Bachelor of Business Administration from Averett University in Danville, Virginia, and a Master of Science in Administration with concentration in Public Administration from Central Michigan University in Pleasantville, Michigan. [1]
