Lynn earned a master’s degree in higher education administration from The College of William & Mary. She is a member of the Albemarle County Social Services Advisory Board and the Public Recreational Facilities Authority. [2]

Lynn lost to Landes by a two to one margin. The incumbent received 12,103 votes to 6,158 for the challenger. Landes raised $231,392 during the campaign compared to $67,898 for Lynn.
